Barbara Rue - Director/Choreographer

Barbara began dancing at the age of 3. Her professional career began at 17. Her credits include national tours, commercials, modeling, television, the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, and Broadway, in the original productions of Sugar Babies and 42nd St. In recent years she has devoted herself to choreography and educating children and young adults in Musical Theater.  Barbara is a member of SAG-AFTRA, AGVA and Actors' Equity Association. Barbara recently accepted the position of  director and choreographer at Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers. 


Lindsay Higgins - Director

Lindsay has her B.A. in Theatre from New School University in NYC and completed 2 years in Theatre/Film Acting Studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. She has more than 15 years experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater and acting classes throughout the Northeast and Midwest. Recent youth productions include: The Little Mermaid Jr.Suessical Jr., Annie Jr.Aladdin, Jr., The Drowsy ChaperoneSuessicalLes MiserablesGodspell, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.  She has written and directed two original full-scale holiday productions for High Definition Dance in New Windsor, NY.  She currently serves as House Manager for the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in Cold Spring, NY.


Brian Sanyshyn - Musical Director

Brian graduated from the Ithaca College School of Music in 2015 with his Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a concentration in trumpet performance. While at Ithaca College, Brian also served as the conductor of the Ithaca College Trumpet Ensemble. From 2013-2015, he served as the Music Director for the St. Lawrence O’Toole Theatre program. Additionally, Brian has played in music settings from symphony orchestras to rock bands, including countless pit orchestras. He is currently teaching 4th and 5th Grade Band at C.V. Starr Intermediate School in Brewster, NY as well as serves as the director of the Brewster High School Marching Band. Brian is nearing the completion of his Masters of Music in Music Education from Boston University.



Annette received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned her Master’s degree in Education.  After completing her formal education, she went on to teach elementary school in the New York City Public Schools. She began designing costumes for children's theatre productions in 2006.  Some of her shows include Alladin, Jr., Guys and Dolls, Jr., The King and I,Jr., Cinderella, Jr., and The Wizard of Broadway.  Since then she has had the pleasure of working as the costume designer at Kennedy Catholic High School. Productions include On the Town, Anything Goes, The Pajama Game, Bye Bye Birdie,The Sound of Music, Cinderella, The Boyfriend,  (which she recieved a Metro Award nomination for costume design), and The Addams Family. Annette is thrilled for the opportunity to work with the Musical Theatre Kids!


John Rue - Artistic Consultant

John trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and for the past 35 years has appeared in commercials, film and TV. His film credits include The DepartedImaginary PeopleLabor Day, and You Don’t Know Jack. On television he played Moe Stubbs on One Life to Live and has had featured roles in Law and OrderDamagesThe SopranosThe Good WifeGirlsBlue BloodsBoardwalk Empire, Orange is the New Black and Elementary. He had a featured role as the Director of the CIA in House of Cards, and also plays Lynn Goodnough in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. He is also known as the ESPN Santa.  John is the international voice for Mercedes Benz. He recently finished a film playing the role of Gene Patterson, the editing manager of the Washington post, in Steven Spielberg's new film, The Post, staring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Most recently John was a guest star on TV's hit series  Bull  and  Madam Secretary.
